We recognize the heavy financial toll that a diagnosis of cancer can have on a family. Treatment can run into the millions of dollars and taking care of a child with cancer is a full time job. Often one parent has to leave a paid position to care for their child with cancer. Insurance often does not fully cover physical rehabilitation from surgery or new, promising cancer treatments for some childhood cancers. This account is designed to help families in crisis pay for items such as rental and/or mortgage payments, utility bills, overnight hotel stays, parking and meal tickets, groceries, gas for the daily trips to and from the hospital and other unexpected costs of a cancer diagnosis.
